Secret and Clues

  • Grajava the Shield Maiden is a mask of Sif
  • A necromancer has taken over an old temple to Grajava the Shield Maiden in the Zombie Wood of Zwargau.
  • The royal family of Krakova have fled from their land and now reside at the Black Fortress under the protection of General Jaro Whitebeard.
  • Lord Krakova knows of the artifact the characters seek. Warriors of Sif had it in Jozst last time he saw it.
  • The Krakova’s want to travel to Jozht but have not the protection to make the journey.
  • The lady of Krakova has a portal key to reach the Archer’s Walk to make it most of the way to Jozht to an old temple named Sylunivar – a former elven temple to Holda Goddess of Hearth and Seasons, Queen of the Arbonesse, Mother of Yarila and Porevit, Keeper of Summer and Winter, Goddess of Reaping and Spinning, Keeper of the True Springs, Harvest Goddess (mwb 370).
  • The Archers Walk – well kept by the elves, the outer ley line of the Grand Duchy of Dornig always seems a forest of shadows, eerie bird calls, and rustling leaves. Shadow fey, monstrous giants, and other creatures are more common than they once were, but the fey portals leading in and out are secured in the various elven keeps and houses.
  • The Frostfell elves were thought to have retreated along with the other elves during the Great Retreat but some stayed and resided fae to the north.
  • The gods have many names and many faces. Some refer to these as “masks”. The forms of gods come from those who worship them.
  • The creed of all-flesh worships the god Vardesian. Ghoul-God of the Bottomless Maw, Lord of Unending Thirst, the Hunger God, the Unsated God, Devourer of Souls, Patron of the Darakhul

Fantastic Locations

  • Locations
  • Gunnacks. Precarious roads from four points leading up to the central city. Beautiful waterfalls and views of the valleys around the area. Statues of four dwarven heroes looking out over each region. Huge blocks ready to be dropped to block off roads and seal the city.
    • Tower Inn called Westward Winds with beautiful views from their suites for a price (40 gp a night). Lesser suites for 10gp.
    • Weary’s Rest. Lower inn on the outskirts of the inner city for travelers. Normal rates.
    • Cavel’s Curios – Elftouched human merchant of magic items with limited stocks. Secret spy of the vampires. Has a gemstone eye through which his master can see.
  • Grisal. Walled city of dwarves, humans, and goblins. Temples to Khors, Volund, and Grajava the Shield Maiden. Near the Zombie Wood of Zwargau.
  • The Necromancer’s Temple. Ruined temple of Grajava the Shield Maiden. Shattered walls, broken floor filled with the bones of the dead, altar to the Creed of All Flesh Vardisain.
  • The Black Fortress. Obsidian fortress walls, deep trenches of black acidic liquid, spikes with zombies and ghouls on them as warnings. The fortress goes back before the Departure when the elves left the land. They built a fey gate below for Archer’s Walk.
